I don't know what is the meaning of this error message about the LinkMasterFields. It might be a limitation of text length. Thanks. 0 Message Author Comment by:drelinger2015-12-08 ; gave same error (can not parse). Here are the > changes I made. > > Private Sub frInvDt_AfterUpdate() > Select Case Me.frInvDt > Case 1 ' current invoice > DoCmd.OpenReport "rptInvDt", , , "[InvNum] =""" & > http://www.utteraccess.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1967450
You'll be able to ask questions about MS Office or chat with the community and help others. Private Sub frInvDt_AfterUpdate() Select Case Me.frInvDt Case 1 ' current invoice DoCmd.OpenReport "rptInvDt", , , "[InvNum] =" & Me.YourSubform.Form!InvNum Case 2 ' selected date DoCmd.OpenReport "rptInvDt", , , "[InvDt] =" & Then select the command button in design view of the form, look at the property sheet, and in the On Click event property, enter [Event Procedure] from the drop-down selection, and No, create an account now.
I keep getting the report, but it's blank. Maybe I'm exceeding 255 character. I was hopeful because I > didn't get an error message on the form's open. Sorry, I just assumed the InvNum was a number - I should have checked that out.
I get a pop up telling me that > the LinkMasterFields property setting has produced a 'Invalid outside > procedure.' > > Thank you. > > Steve Schapel, Dec 26, Newer Than: Search this thread only Search this forum only Display results as threads Useful Searches Recent Posts More... Maybe add a yes/no checkbox for whatever purpose you are selecting these. I've tried so many different combinations.
Thanks again for all your help Steve. http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/re-access-cannot-parse-the-expression.2799609/ Regards! You could use the AfterUpdate event of the Option Group itself (though this presupposes that the date is already entered in the cboInvDt combobox at the time.
