Get Thread-Safe build of PHP from PHP for Windows (based on your question you want to run it as Apache module). I clicked on the PHP folder, and some of the files say php5 (php5.dll, php5apache2_2.dll, php5apache2.dll, and so on), and underneath they say 18.104.22.168, so I guess I have version 5.2. I checked and found there were many differences in the contents of the two php5 folders, mainly dll files.
I made the php5ts.dll available by adding my php directory to the path, same for my php.ini i added it as PHPRC environment variable and it looks like is working fine. How to make plots 'blacker'? Do I need to do something about that? However, replacing it with php5ts.dll from PHP 5.3.0 did not help.

I set the ini file into the windows / system32 After that i was trying to set the *.conf file in C:/program files/apache group /apache2/conf/. See
I think the only way I'm going to bother is if someone develops a windows installation package. I tried using both and had the exact same error with each. Sorry about the rant, it's just that I've gone round and round in circles trying to just get the software installed.
