Can you kill all instances of your webdev.webserver.exe and try again? Add-in salt to injury? I came to conclusion that WebDev.WebServer.exe may be corrupt. Although I should note that terminating the WebDev.WebServer.EXE process is also a likely answer if that process is actually running. I reinstalled VS 2005 and Win -XP both doesn't help and also format my machine then install fresh copy of both.
